Denise Y. Fortson is the Founder, Owner and Executive Director of Dreamcicle Events International, formerly called Dreamcicle Weddings & Special Events. In July 2012, the name was changed to Dreamcicle Events International, affectionately called "DEI", immediately upon Denise earning accreditation as a Certified International Event Planner.
Two decades of event management experience and acquisition of numerous formal training credentials classify Denise as an expert in the event planning process, design, coordination and consultation. In January 2013, she furthered her formal training and acquired accreditation as an event designer.
Denise has an established reputation in the competitive event management industry. This has contributed to the solid foundation that Dreamcicle Events International is built upon. Denise earned her event planning stripes and passage to the industry simply by planning her very own wedding. Sound precision, eager charisma, warm personality and attention to detail are the attributes that have contributed to her business success and client satisfaction.
Desiring to build a powerful business reputation, Denise has memberships in several diverse organizations to include the International Special Events Society (ISES), International Association of Certified Wedding Consultants (IACWC), Adventist Event Planners Association (AEPA), and National Association of Catering and Events (NACE).
Denise is an established Certified Special Events Professional. She continues to seek opportunities to grow the business, deliver exceptional client services and ways to constitute her as a superior professional. Denise is currently enrolled in the Event Management Program at George Washington University School of Business Washington, DC.
Denise has shared her life with her husband Brian for over 30 years. They are blessed with 2 adult children. When she is not planning events, you can find her and Brian spending valuable time with their amazing grandchildren who are "the greatest joys of their lives."
Denise continues to take great strides to fulfill her dream and desire to become one of the Event Planning Industry's Preeminent Members! Denise projects and maintains a positive attitude and professional demeanor. This is the solid foundation that she forecast for each DEI associate. Client focus is the key component. Client satisfaction builds loyalty and keeps clients coming back in addition to referring others. DEI associates focus on executing exceptional client care end to end from the consultation process through the conclusion of the special event.

Barbara earned a Bachelors of Science degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Finance from Towson University. She currently serves as the Treasurer and Business manager for the Baltimore Junior Academy National Alumni Association being a proud alumnus of Baltimore Junior Academy. Dreamcicle Events International is a dream come true for her sister, Denise. Barbara passionately supports Denise in every endeavor and opportunity presented to DEI. This is an opportunity Barbara has graciously accepted with great pride and sincere dedication to make DEI an “A” class event planning organization.
